Landscapes in Fabric and Stitch

Painting, fabrics and stitch can be combined very effectively, to create landscapes that are almost painterly but with the additional bonus of texture. Working from a landscape image of your choice, you will discover how to paint organza to create coloured fabrics; select a range of different fabrics, collaging them and the painted organza to represent your image; using your sewing machine (or one provided by prior arrangement) and hand embroidery, draw into your fabric collage using stitch to add details and highlights.
The course will include short demonstrations to the group by the tutor when required, with the majority of the course taking the form of practical progress on your own personal project, and individual guidance from the tutor when required
