Painting with Acrylic Inks

Acrylic inks offer the opportunity to work expressively with the freedom of a water-based medium, whilst retaining the intense and vivid colours of acrylic paints. You will experiment with a wide range of techniques and effects, using this versatile painting medium.
The course will include short demonstrations to the group by the tutor when required, with the majority of the course taking the form of practical progress on your own personal project, and individual guidance from the tutor when required

Session 2: Preparing watercolour paper ready for use; sketching an outline in charcoal prior to working with acrylic inks

Session 3: Creation of some final pieces of work of your choice – from abstract experiments to landscapes

MATERIALS PROVIDED: acrylic inks, various watercolour papers, materials for experimentation e.g. small pieces of card, all equipment required such as brushes, palettes, drawing boards
